Sports/Fitness Background

Growing up I always had a love for staying active and playing sports. I started power tumbling from the age of 5 and continued to use those skills throughout my cheerleading career until my senior year of high school. Throughout the years leading up to graduating high school I also played 4 years of club volleyball and high school volleyball.

Fueling my love for movement I decided to pursue an education in exercise science and kinesiology as my passion for learning how the human body moves grew. While at Ball State University I began to discover a love for weightlifting and functional fitness which led me to explore a career in physical therapy.

Physical Therapy Background

During my senior year of high school, I attended physical therapy due to low back pain from tumbling and cheerleading. I had little success and after hearing many stories just like mine, I came to the realization of where the field was lacking, helping athletes get back to sport. That is when I found my desire to pursue a career in sports performance physical therapy in order to work with motivated and dedicated athletes who want to stay moving for life. I have found that being on the UNITE.rehab.perform team.

I have always had an interest in working with athletes and helping them to return to sport, stay moving, motivated, and healthy for life.

I have loved working with all athletes, especially overhead athletes, with my personal background in volleyball. Working with athletes inspires me to continue training for life and ensure I practice what I preach on a daily basis.

Favorite Ways to Move

I love to include movement into my everyday life. I enjoy fitness in many realms including weight lifting, hiking, skiing, and cycle classes. I am constantly looking for ways to challenge myself both physically and mentally exploring new movements.

Favorite Activity/Hobby Out of the Gym

My favorite activity out of the gym is traveling and getting outdoors. I love going to explore new places, seeing the culture, and trying new foods along the way.

Don’t leave it to chance.
