Performance Physical Therapist

Origin Story

My physical therapy career began somewhat unconventionally. Most of my colleagues and PT school classmates had found physical therapy because they went through it themselves as student-athletes with injuries.

I began my undergraduate career in a completely different medical sciences track – pre-veterinary medicine. Growing up riding horses every day, I thought that was the natural next step. But I quickly realized that I much preferred to work with humans, instead of animals!

Growing up, my family has always been very active and involved in sports. My mom was a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. My brother was involved in ice hockey and running for as long as I can remember. My dad is an avid gym-goer and used to play tennis (now pickleball) every day. So I followed the path that my family had established and decided to check out physical therapy which I immediately fell in love with.

Clinical Experience

Throughout my physical therapy education and previous jobs, I always had an interest in the orthopedics and sports injury realm. But it wasn’t until joining UNITE that I finally found the dedicated population I had been searching for. Unlike most other traditional physical therapy clinics, the clients at UNITE are itching to get back to doing what they love most and are willing to put in the work to get back there. It inspires me on a daily basis and I can truly say that I love coming to work each day because of it.

Because of my own sports background, I love working with equestrians, dancers of all backgrounds, and barbell or CrossFit athletes. Whether they are coming in after surgery or looking to eliminate nagging injuries, I feel confident leading the rehab journey from the beginning steps all the way back to high-level performance.
